Annual Conference Committee
The committee plans the program and themes for the annual conference, Libraries and the Future.

Diversity Committee
This committee oversees the diversity intern program and provides advisement on diversity issues for LILRC.
 
Government Information Committee
Its purpose is to provide a forum for government information librarians of Nassau and Suffolk Counties and, through cooperative activities, further the dissemination of information about, and the use of, government information.
 
Health Sciences Information Committee
The committee serves to act in an advisory capacity to the Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC, or the Council) for the Hospital Library Services Program and other programs that impact librarians.
 
Legislative Committee
The committee's purpose is to follow legislative initiatives on the federal, state and local levels in a watchdog capacity and to function as a regional clearinghouse. It establishes a mechanism to work with our elected representatives and regional planning agencies on matters of mutual concern with regard to libraries and their services. It advises the Board of Trustees and standing committees of the Council on the status and implications of current legislation. It develops a resource network to funnel grassroots information with regard to library legislation to interested parties.
 
Committee for the Preservation and Local History
The committee strengthens and advocates for archives, manuscripts, and local history collections in Nassau and Suffolk Counties and educates those involved in the stewardship and preservation of such collections.
 
Regional Technology and Media Committee
The mission of the Regional Technology and Media Committee is to provide recommendations to LILRC and its Board in regards to the utilization of Regional Bibliographic Data Bases (RBDB) funds, to gather information and enhance communication while providing guidance to regional libraries in the acquisition of electronic content.
 
Resource Sharing and Management Committee
The Committee on Resource Sharing and Management is a standing committee of the Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC). The purpose of the committee is to encourage cooperation among all types of libraries in Nassau and Suffolk Counties to enhance resource sharing and management.
